Approach to Therapy

I view people as beings with tremendous potential and have a strong desire to help people achieve that potential using evidence-based practices. I find it incredibly important to invest time and effort into addressing the root of symptoms rather than finding brief solutions and treating symptoms. I have experience working with autism, behavior modification, family dynamics, cognitive-behavioral work, trauma, spirituality, and individuals. I firmly believe that people are much more than the sum of life events they have experienced, and the more willing one is to make the conscious decision to change regardless of life circumstances, the more of a return on your investment you will see. I am not the expert in the process, I am only a mirror to help you see what you cannot and empower you to decide how to handle what you see.

The therapeutic process is just that, a process. We are not meant to do this life alone even when everything inside is telling us we need to figure things out independently. Sometimes the most powerful action could be revealing what has been concealed for so long, or even sitting in silence with someone you trust. The journey may be difficult, but I will be available to sit in silence with you.
