Child and Adolescent Therapy
We have 15 years of specialized training in issues of child and adolescent treatment. We have helped children and youth struggling with disruptive behaviors, attention problems, developmental delays, anxiety, depression, divorce, grief, and other issues that disrupt their growth and development. In addressing these issues, we work with all the systems that impact their lives, from family to school, from church to activities. Family and Marital Therapy
Our approach to families and marriages in crisis draws primarily from a theoretical approach called emotionally focused therapy. Emotionally focused therapy is a scientifically validated approach that really works to help couples reconnect with each other. This approach involves working with the participants to develop connections with one another that are healthy, honest, and heart-felt. We also draw from other approaches when appropriate to help address other needs, such as parenting, adolescent issues in the family, sexual dysfunction, and more. Individual Therapy
We approach individual issues in an individual way. We strive to help each person set realistic, achievable goals for growth and health. To accomplish these goals, we use a combination of cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, and existential/spiritual approaches to help you grow toward health. Group Therapy
Group therapy offers the advantage of allowing you to work through specific issues with others who are struggling with the same things. It is a safe place where you are not alone, where you can receive support and understanding. It is also a cost effective way to address issues that may not be covered by insurance. We offer different groups throughout the year. Be sure to check the Groups page to see what groups are currently being offered. Educational and Psychological Testing
For children, difficulties in mood and behavior are often related to difficulties in learning. Understanding a child’s learning needs can provide direction for interventions at school and at home. Our specialized training and experience has enabled us to help many children and youth who have been unexplainably “stuck”. For adults, psychological testing is also useful in clarifying occupational potential, interpersonal difficulties, and issues related to disability. Cross Cultural Services
Dr. Morrison, who grew up in a cross-cultural setting, has native fluency in the Spanish language. She also did her doctoral research on cross-cultural issues in families. These experiences have provided her with both personal and professional knowledge of the distinctive issues that arise for people faced with the challenge of navigating life between two cultures. Premarital Counseling
We offer a broad, comprehensive premarital counseling program that can be done for your pastor or in conjunction with your pastor to prepare couples for a marriage that is relationally healthy and spiritually solid. With the divorce rate exceeding 50% in our society, it is clear that the need for relational education is dire. To meet this need, we have developed Becoming One, a program to set your marriage on a solid foundation.
Seminars
We offer a wide range of seminar topics available to your group, company, staff, church, club, community organization, or retreat group. We are also happy to develop a seminar to meet your group's specific needs and interests.
Divorce Issues
With divorce rates now exceeding 50% in our society, the need to learn the skills to navigate the stressful and emotionally difficult process of separating a marriage is critical. Divorce is a leading cause of both mental health difficulties when not handled well. Additionally, the adjustment of children following a divorce depends largely on the ability of the parents to communicate respectfully and effectively. To meet these needs, we offer both divorce mediation and co-parenting to assist you in navigating this critical transition time in a way that preserves the functioning and health of all members of the family.
Nutrition and Mental Health
There is a growing body of scientific evidence pointing to the links between mental health and nutrition. The connections between mind and body are critical for optimal functioning. To assist you in regaining control of your total health, we are pleased to offer products and information to help you have the physical resources you need to make the emotional, behavioral, and psychological changes you desire. Dr. Morrison has also received certification in nutritional consulting in order to be able to consult with you directly about possible nutritional deficits contributing to your mental health difficulties.
Career Counseling

Whether you are unemployed, seeking a new direction, or just out finishing high school and not sure what you want to do, we can help. We offer a battery of inventories and personality tests to help you identify your strengths and interests. We also offer help with interviewing skills and resume development.
