"Marriage is one of God's most powerful secret weapons for revolutionizing the human heart."
Mike Mason BECOMING ONE
Establishing marriages that last a lifetime
"...and the two shall become one..."
Thousands are spent on wedding dresses, flowers, photographers, and food. Planning for a wedding is started months, even years, before the big event. But how much planning is done for what happens after the wedding? How much is invested in this relationship that is meant to last a lifetime? Becoming One is a program specifically designed to help couples be intentional about their relationship so that they will be better equipped to carry that relationship forward in a lasting and meaningful way.
Who runs the program?
The program is run by Renee Donovan, MAMFT. A specialist in marriage and family therapy, Renee received her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Evangelical Theological Seminary in Myerstown, Pennsylvania. She is passionate about helping marriages be healthy and whole in the way that God intended. She is certified in the Prepare/Enrich relationship inventories and the Myers Briggs Type Inventory; she is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
What is the cost of the program?
The fee covers 10 sessions, all inventories, a written summary, and a follow up session. These services individually would typically cost over $1300, but the premarital package is offered at a discount of $800. While this might seem like a lot, when compared to other expenses we invest in the wedding day, it is a small investment to make in the health and longevity of your marriage.
Because we understand that this cost can be difficult for people all at once, we can set up a payment plan that works for you. Credit cards can be used for payment if desired. Additionally, if your pastor is also wanting to provide his/her own premarital counseling, Renee will work in conjunction with him/her to modify the program so as not to repeat the same material. The cost is then prorated accordingly.
